Great service during an unforgettable experience
We had a lovely trip through Lakato Safaris! We’d originally been working with a Tanzanian tour company, but we wanted to do gorilla trekking in Uganda, so they connected us with Lakato. Our guide, Muhammad, was there waiting for us at the airport when we arrived and was there to help with *everything*. He drove us over 6 hours to and from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest from the Kigali airport and made sure that our border-crossings between Rwanda and Uganda went smoothly. He also kept us entertained with great stories and helpful insight throughout our time together and found an extra activity for us to do when we arrived at our hotel in Uganda a bit early. We *really* appreciated the fact that he was willing to be a little flexible and skip one of the stops on our tour when we decided we were too tired to do golden monkey trekking the day after gorilla trekking. He helped organize a great day for us in Kigali at the Rwandan Geocide museum and still made sure we got to the airport safely even though we got to Kigali around 7 hours earlier than we had initially expected! Great safari experience with Lakato safaris and guide Muhammad.
I recently had an amazing 10-day tour of Uganda, our guide was Muhammad from Lakato safaris. He was fantastic. The best part of our trip was when we visited Murchison Falls. We could get really close to the falls. We went on a fun safari and saw amazing lions, giraffes, big elephants and more up close. After that, we went to Fort Portal, where we saw some awesome hot springs. The guide explained how they formed and the history behind it. Our last stop was Kampala, the capital city. We got to see busy markets and buildings. It was a great way to end our trip. Muhammad was a really good guide. He was professional, friendly, and knew a lot about Uganda. He took good care of us. I took 3 trips (2, 3 and 9 days) with Mohammad while enjoying an 1 month stay in Uganda. 2 trips for work purposes and 1 for holidays. At all trips, Mohammad did an amazing job at taking care of all logistical aspects of the trip: driving very well and safe, finding nice and cozy restaurants, good and comfortable accommodations and managing the time very well. He is very friendly and professional and always on the look out for opportunities that will make your trip one to never forget. Mohammad's flexible mindset also makes sure he can quickly change plans to make sure your wishes are accommodated for. All in all, Mohammad is very friendly, fun and relaxed, but also very responsible and reliable. You're great hands with him. Trip to Murchisan falls Uganda
We had a fantastic time with Lakato Safaris. The vehicle was on top condition, very safe, secure and comfortable. The driver Baker was excellent, friendly and professional. Unbelievable experience could not have used a better company
Responsive, informative and PROFESSIONAL. Lakato Safaris were unbelievable and in every aspect it could not have been a better experience. Prior to arriving in Uganda I was constantly updated and all my questions were answered quickly. Mohammad was our driver/guide and he was incredible, he was immaculately presented, non intrusive, polite, friendly and has a soft kind nature. We arrived into Entebbe to find that our checked luggage had been lost and Lakato Safaris without prompting followed up with our airline regarding our lost luggage, this was extremely helpful as we didn’t have a Ugandan Sim card thus could not contact the airline without expensive mobile roaming charges, also with Lakato safaris doing to communicating it freed us up to enjoy Kampala/Entebbe for a couple of days. As we didn't have our luggage Lakato gave us clothes to wear (2x Polo shirts, a long sleeved button up shirt, long pants with legs that zip off to make shorts and a hat) all for free. Lakato also notified us before that our luggage had arrived (before the airline) and organized to have it delivered immediately. Another example of the first class treatment that we received was when one of us (75years old) tripped over and badly grazed/cut up both hands and both knees, without prompting and using initiative we were taken on a slight detour to a local hospital to get the wounds disinfected and hygienically patched before continuing onto our next destination. Amazing trip in Uganda !
We just finished our amazing trip with Lakato Safaris, and it has been an amazing moment. From the very beginning to the end, everything has been well organized, the service and the quality of the suppliers were perfect, and we couldn’t find better agency to discover Uganda.
