Day 1: TRANSFER FROM KAMPALA TO FORTPORTAL
Want to taste the real African Culture in the wilderness? Come and try our itinerary here below, we offer you an exciting adventure discovering culture and yet a chance to trek the chimps in the wilderness of Uganda – a place where we find the highest concentration of Primates in the World – Kibale National park. Wake up time at 9:00am. Have breakfast in Kampala before set off to head for Kibale National Park leaving at 10:00am via the Mubende Route. Make a stop-over at Mubende District and visit the famous ‘Nakayima’ tree and get to know the story behind its formation and cultural attachment. Proceed to Fort portal. En-route, you will have a chance to view the different diversity of vegetation ranging from shrubs, tall grasses, trees among other unique evident vegetation. Arrive in Fort portal town and have lunch before proceeding to kibale national parks and check-in at Primate lodge Kibale get some rest and have dinner later.

Day 2: FULL DAY IN KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Wake up at 6:00am, have breakfast and get ready for a briefing before heading off for chimp trekking at 8:00am. Take 2-3 hrs chimp trekking returning timely for lunch at 1:00pm and during this activity, there are quite a number of panoramic views of the plant cover plus a few other forest inhabitants that can be experienced within the swamps. Have lunch at 12:00pm and rest for an hour before heading to villages of Kikoni, Nuakalongo to meet the locals (Batoro and Bakiga) to get insights about their cultures. Get back for early dinner and bedtime at Primate lodge Kibale.

Day 3: FULL DAY IN SEMLIKI NATIONAL PARK
Wake up at 7:00am and pack some food stuffs before heading for a 2 hour drive to Semuliki National Park while enjoying the sight of the vegetation cover and swamps over a vast area along the way among these are also farms and plantations. Spend the whole day at Semuliki, visit the hot springs (Sempaya hot springs), the nature walk to these springs offers bird watchers a rewarding time due to the vast variety of bird species at the park. Also visit the local community and get to meet the Batwa (pygmies) community who originated from Ituri. Head back into fort portal town and check into Fort portal Guest house located in town centre.

Day 4: FULL DAY EXPLORING CULTURAL SITES
Wake up at 10:00am, have breakfast at the hotel, drive up to “Amabere ga nyinamwiru” (historical caves) en-route, have a chance to see Nyakasura school with their Scottish style uniforms, visit the natural swimming pool and head to “Amabere” caves to see stalagmites and stalactites formations that the locals attach a historical story to referring to them as female breasts. Go hill climbing to view crater lakes. Go back to fort portal town and visit the Omukama’s palace. Have a late lunch and have an early rest at the hotel.

Day 5: TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
Wake up at 10:00am have breakfast and visit the Karambi tombs (burial sites for the former Toro kings and other royals of the kingdom). Have lunch in fort portal town and head back to Kampala reaching at about 6pm and check back into hotel. Note: carry warm clothing and rain gear, wear enclosed shoes and carry along a camera, binoculars, hat and insect repellant.
