6 Days Primate Exposure – Volcanoes National Park and Nyungwe forest National Park

Nyungwe forest is probably the most preserved forest in Africa. Some say it is the most important site for biodiversity in Rwanda. It is home to over 1000 species of creation after all. Tourists enjoy Primate Walks in the region and love the canopy walk offered by the park. Day one – ARRIVAL
Here our guide will be waiting for you at Kanombe international airport, meet and greet then transfer to the hotel. (Serena Kigali or Kalisimbi hotel).Depending on your time of arrival, we will take you through the beautiful Kigali as you are guided and brief about your trip. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day two – TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
Morning breakfast, visit the magnificent genocide memorial site and the presidential palace museum. Then later visit the spectacular Kigali Convention Centre (on condition that you did not do it on the arrival day). After our city tour, we will drive to Volcano national park and check in at Kinigi guest house or Gorilla Nest Lodge for upgrade. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day Three – GORILLA TREKKING – POSSIBILITY TO DRIVE BACK TO KIGALI IF COMPLETED BEFORE 4PM
Very early morning breakfast and transfer to the briefing Centre where you will meet other trekkers and be briefed by the range on the whole activity. This day is dedicated to Gorilla Tracking experience. Dinner and overnight at the Kinigi guest house or Gorilla Nest Lodge for upgrade.

Day four: Transfer to Nyungwe for Chimp Tracking
Early morning breakfast, check out and transfer Nyungwe Forest, check in at the lodge. Have lunch and embark on evening canopy walk at the forest. This walk will offer you the best sightings of vegetation zones in this forest and the bird lovers may have a chance to see the rift valley endemic such as the Rwenzori Turaco, monkeys and many other animals. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House or Nyungwe Forest Lodge for upgrade.

Day five: Chimpanzee trekking – Kigali
Very morning breakfast, check out of the lodge, have a briefing at the forest briefing point, with a park ranger assigned to your group, you will go on to this amazing journey of meeting the man’s closest ape. Here your guide will explain to you all the questions you will be having. After this activity we will have lunch and transfer to Kigali. Overnight at Kalisimbi Hotel or Kigali Serena Hotel BB.

Day Six: Departure
Depending on the time of your flight, our driver guide will be available, to guide you through Kigali city, here if time allowing, you will visit the Kigali Convention Centre, Presidential Palace museum and the Genocide Memorial Museum. Remember to shop gifts around town and farewells.
