Volcanoes national park is home to Mountain Gorilla, Golden Monkeys, Spotted Hyena, Buffaloes,Elephants, Black-fronted duiker and Bushbuck. The park also harbors 178 bird species including at least 29 endemics to Rwenzori mountains and the Virungas. Itinerary
Here our guide will be waiting for you at Kanombe international airport, meet and greet then transfer to the hotel. (Kalisimbi hotel BB or Serena Kigali BB). Depending on your time of arrival, we will take you through the beautiful Kigali as you are guided and brief about your trip. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Morning breakfast, visit the magnificent genocide memorial site and the presidential palace museum. Then later visit the spectacular Kigali Convention Centre (on condition that you did not do it on the arrival day). After our city tour, we will drive to Volcano national park and check in at Kinigi guest house or Gorilla Nest Lodge for Upgrade - FB. Dinner and overnight at the lodge with a basic briefing on the necessities of the next day’s activity.
Very early morning breakfast and transfer to the briefing Centre where you will meet other trekkers and be briefed by the range on the whole activity. This day is dedicated to this Gorilla Tracking experience since you can never know where and when to meet these gentle giants. Dinner and overnight at the lodgeFB.
Early morning breakfast, check out, drive to Uwinka visitors Centre for the magnificent canopy walk. This activity will take us about two to three hours, it’s rewarding to the lovers of nature, photography and birders. Transfer to Kanombe international airport. Depending on the time of your flight, get time to shop for souvenirs and craft gifts.
